Six people died when a CNG-run three-wheeler was hit by a covered-van in Shayestaganj upazila of Habiganj this morning.

The deceased — four men and two women — were passengers of the three-wheeler, reports our correspondent quoting Ajay Chandra Deb, officer-in-charge of Shayestaganj Police Station.

The Sylhet-bound covered-van hit the three-wheeler on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Olipur area from behind around 7:45am, the OC said, adding that another person was critically injured in the accident.

Shayestaganj Highway Police and fire service officials recovered the bodies from the spot.
