A fire broke out at a textile warehouse in Bhogra Bhasan Road area of Gazipur city early today.

Abdul Hamid, deputy assistant director of Gazipur Fire Service, said that the fire started around 6am in the warehouse of Alema Textile Limited.

On receiving information, seven Tongi and Gazipur firefighting units rushed to the scene and extinguished the fire within a few hours, our correspondent reports.

The cause of the fire, however, was yet to be determined, he added.
