The axis of monsoon trough runs through Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal to Assam across the southern part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to north Bay.

Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate to strong over north Bay.

Maximum temperature in the country yesterday was recorded at 34.0 degrees Celsius jointly at Tetulia and Chuadanga and minimum was 24.5 degrees Celsius at Sandwip.

Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00 am today was recorded at 76 mm at Sandwip.
