At least three people were killed as a microbus hit a motorcycle at the Joynagar-Ishwardi road in Pabna’s Ishwardi upazila last night.

Two of the deceased have been identified as Ibrahim Hossain (25), and Md Joy (26). The identity of other deceased could not be known immediately, reports our Pabna correspondent quoting Md Rafikul, officer-in-charge of PaksheyHighway Police Station.

The accident took place around 9:00pm last night when the three were heading towards Joynagar from Ishwardi on a motorcycle.

When they reached near Joynagar-Shimultola area, a speeding microbus hit the bike from the opposite direction, leaving two died dead on the spot while another succumbed to his injury on way to hospital, the OC said.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
