A case has been filed over the killing of four people during a clash between two groups of villagers in Magura Sadar upazila on Friday. 

Anwar Hossain, brother of victim Kabir, filed the murder case yesterday against 68 people and 10-15 unknown ones with Sadar Police Station, said Monjurul Alam, officer-in-charge of the police station.

According to the case statement, Sabur Mollah, 60, Kabir Mollah, 55, sons of Sahbaj Mollah of Dakshin Jagdal village, and cousin Rahman Mollah were going to the house of Abdur Rahim, headmaster of Jagdal Junior High School, for discussing over the upcoming Jagdal UP elections around 4:00pm on Friday.

When they reached in front of the headmaster’s house, some supporters of incumbent member Nazrul Islam waylaid and attacked them with sharp weapons and hacked them to death.

Another deceased is Imran Mollah.

Nazrul is made the key accused.
