Police today arrested a youth in connection with a case filed over gang-rape of an RMG factory worker in Narayanganj Sadar upazila on Friday night.

The arrestee, Md Daniyal (27), is a resident of Baraivog of the upazila, reports our Narayanganj correspondent quoting Rakibuzzaman, officer-in-charge of Fatullah Model Police Station.

Police conducted a raid and arrested one accused following a rape case filed by the victim last night with the police facility, said the OC.

On Friday night, Daniyal and his friend picked up the victim, took her to a remote place and gang-raped her there when she was returning home from work, said the case document.

Police said their attempts are on to nab the other accused.

The victim was sent to Narayanganj General Hospital for medical test, added the OC.
