Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed left Dhaka for United Arab Emirates (UAE) yesterday morning on a two-day official visit, said a press release issued by the Inter-Service Public Relations Directorate (ISPR).

During the visit, General Shafiuddin will hold bilateral meetings with the UAE Chief of Army Staff and discuss bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between the armies of the two countries.

The Bangladesh army chief will also observe the International Dubai Air Show-2021 to be held in Dubai, said the release.

He is scheduled to return home on November 18, added the ISPR release.
