A class six student died after a passenger bus hit him on Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Munshiganj’s Gazaria upazila this morning.

The deceased, Md Redwan Shaheen (13) was a resident of Anarpura village in the upazila and a student of Bhater Char DA Mannan Pilot High School, our Munshiganj correspondent reports quoting Officer-in-charge of Bhaberchar Highway Police Station Md Shah Jalal Babul.

A Cumilla-bound bus of Royal Coach hit him in Anarpura area around 9:30am when he was crossing the highway on his way to school, the OC said adding that he was taken to Gazaria Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.

“The bus was seized by the highway police, but its driver and helper managed to escape, the police official said.
