Police yesterday arrested a man in a case filed for raping a four-year-old from the Tripura community in Ruma upazila of Bandarban.

The suspect Nurul Islam (48) allegedly raped the child on Monday, reports our correspondent quoting Kazi Rakib Uddin, officer-in-charge of Ruma Police Station.

“The victim was sent to Bandarban Sadar Hospital for treatment,” said the OC.

The child’s mother filed the case yesterday at the police station.
